Le virtù salutari della fonte – da cui trasse beneficio anche Michelangelo Buonarroti - sono storicamente conosciute, poiché la sua acqua possiede qualità terapeutiche utili nelle malattie del ricambio e nella calcolosi.
La fonte è circondata da una natura lussureggiante, boschi di castagni e una campagna tutta intorno che fa parte del Parco naturale Villa Clementi, dove si incontrano giardini e fontane e una parte in pendio occupata da acacie, cipressi, abeti e castagni.

Attenzione per chi ha problemi di pressione bassa, in quanto essendo povera di sali minerali tende ad abbassare la pressione arteriosa. La fonte è accompagnato dalla presenza anche di una struttura che ospitano le vasche che servivano per lavare i panni in passato. Da visitare e assaporare l'acqua.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Da come descritto dal cartello "sorgente" uno si aspettava del acqua scorrere fuori da una rupe o un ruscello. Invece è una fontana con vegetazione fitta vicino al rubinetto e acqua che non si potrebbe bere per via di alta concentrazione di ferro. Che dire....che tristezza....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prendendo questa piccola strada secondaria si arriva a questa fonte dove sgorga l'acqua che dicono terapeutica. Immersa nel verde il luogo ispira sensazioni antiche e ti attira il bosco che la costeggia. Vicino c'è un bel & breakfast,chiuso per il Covid, ma ci sono animali e le oche divertentissime .
