★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Si tratta di un edificio dell'antica Capua, ed è stato ritenuto essere un "Catabulum" dagli studiosi del Settecento e dell'Ottocento, ovvero un luogo dove erano custoditi gli animali feroci per gli spettacoli dell'Anfiteatro Campano.
Successivamente è stato ritenuto una sala di un edificio termale.
E' stato recentemente pubblicato un lavoro in cui viene riconosciuto "con sicurezza" quale battistero della Basilica Costantiniana di Capua.
Questa ipotesi è stata successivamente smentita o comunque rivista, arrivando alla conclusione che in epoca imperiale l'edificio faceva parte di un edificio termale e successivamente, come spesso accadeva, era stato riutilizzato come battistero in età costantiniana.
Esso si trova nel cortile di una abitazione privata e non è visitabile.

It is a building of the ancient Capua, and was considered to be a "Catabulum" by the scholars of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, or a place where ferocious animals were kept for the performances of the Campanian Amphitheater.
It was later believed to be a room in a spa building.
A work has recently been published in which he is recognized "with certainty" as the baptistery of the Constantinian Basilica of Capua.
This hypothesis was subsequently denied or in any case revised, arriving at the conclusion that in the imperial era the building was part of a thermal building and subsequently, as often happened, it had been reused as a baptistery in the Constantinian age.
It is located in the courtyard of a private house and cannot be visited.
