★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Centro storico che merita una visita. Forse non molto noto, ma molto bello con un castello che da sulla gravina e una serie di chiese e vicoletti caratteristici.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il castello offre un bello scorcio sul golfo di Taranto, la pianura sottostante a Massafra e sulla relativa gravina che la divide in 2 parti.
All'interno del castello si trova la Biblioteca e le stanze che l'accolgono non rispecchiano neanche lontanamente lo stile originario dell'edificio. Per gli orari di visita, quindi conviene consultare quelli di apertura della biblioteca comunale e raggiungere il suo l'ingresso da un vicoletto posto all'angolo della Piazza Garibaldi, il cuore del centro storico di Massafra. La corte esterna viene utilizzata durante l'estate per accogliere eventi artistico-culturali di vario genere. Potrebbe essere meglio valorizzato se tutti i locali del castello fossero fruibili: sarebbe più che urgente una ristrutturazione a 360°.
The castle offers a beautiful glimpse of the Gulf of Taranto, the plain below Massafra and the relative ravine that divides it into 2 parts.
Inside the castle is the library and the rooms that accommodate it do not even remotely reflect the original style of the building. For visiting hours, it is therefore advisable to consult the opening hours of the municipal library and reach its entrance from an alley located at the corner of Piazza Garibaldi, the heart of the historic center of Massafra. The external courtyard is used during the summer to host artistic and cultural events of various kinds. It could be better exploited if all the rooms of the castle were usable: a 360 ° renovation would be more than urgent.
