★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Esperienza ricca di spunti di interesse non solo di carattere enologico. Abbiamo fatto un assaggio di tre vini: Chianti Castiglioni, fruttato e morbido, la Tenuta Castiglioni, blend molto interessante, ottima scelta qualità/prezzo e il più titolato Giramonte.
Ma andare da Frescobaldi è soprattutto respirare l'aria di una famiglia che ha saputo mantenersi tale nel lavoro per più di 30 generazioni, un miracolo non solo ai giorni nostri, ma già per i loro stessi avi, come testimoniano alcuni quadretti cinquecenteschi di ex voto alle pareti. Una famiglia che sa stare a tavola con gli Windsor e con i carcerati. Complimenti.
Experience full of points of interest not only of an oenological nature. We tasted three wines: Chianti Castiglioni, fruity and soft, Tenuta Castiglioni, a very interesting blend, excellent quality / price choice and the most titled Giramonte.
But going to Frescobaldi is above all to breathe the air of a family that has been able to maintain itself as such in work for more than 30 generations, a miracle not only nowadays, but already for their own ancestors, as evidenced by some sixteenth-century paintings of ex voto to the walls. A family that knows how to sit at the table with the Windsors and with the prisoners. Well done.
