J	John Wunsch on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great staff, Fantastic restaurant, Beautiful setting. This was the perfect location to explore Tuscany. The reception staff was very helpful. The apartment had everything that we needed and was much more spacious than a hotel. It also gave us the opportunity to do some of our own cooking. We took a cooking class at the restaurant and had a fantastic experience. So much fun. We will be back.

Overall it is 4 stars because even though the room was nice and very clean, the castle itself is not super well maintained, I wonder if it is because of COVID. So for example I thought there would be a restaurant open also in the morning for breakfast, but it wasn’t the case, which is a pitty not to take advantage of the beautiful terrace and not being able to have a cappuccino :) Aside from this aspect it was anyway worth it! The area is simply splendid and we booked ebikes for 2 days, which was a great way to really experience the Tuscan hills and the area around. It is a bit far from Florence, so take that into account if you are planning to go on a day trip to the city, however there is anyway a bus that you can take! All in all I would return there with pleasure!

M	Michael Brezinsky on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a truly amazing place to stay in Tuscany. If you are looking for a luxurious hotel, this is not the place. But if you are seeking a unique lodging experience, then this is the place. Not many people can say that they've stayed in a 12th century castle. The location is great, near Florence, Sienna, and other great places. The castle grounds are immaculate and the views are remarkable. The restaurant is also excellent with great food and great service. My wife and I loved it. If you stay there, be sure to check out a restaurant that is nearby called Il Focalare, they have the best Bistecca Fiorentina. Best steak ever!

Some rooms are more rural like and some are more magnificent with drawings like it was the Sistine Chapel due to centuries of history. The staff is extremely caring, nice and friendly, specially Betta and Lucca, two really beautiful people that work in the restaurant and they made our time there a real pleasure. They had a swimming pool and great spaces that we rented for our event and everything was quite unique. I loved the place and my time there. The only negative side I found: mosquitoes, they ate us alive ?

J	Jolene Waldrab on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 15th Century Castle & Grounds are impressive. The setting is beautiful. Bar & Kitchen staff exceptional, needs to expand menu offerings. Accommodation lacks in some basic comfort and upkeep. Reception is largely unattended and calls went unanswered, even during posted open hours. Internet is a big issue for those who need to stay connected. Our rooms were very dark, heating was an extra charge and there were not enough blankets. Gas hob had broken and unlabeled knobs and burners had to be lit with matches, it was difficult to tell when the burner was off. We did give four stars though, the cost of our package trip was extremely reasonable and you get what you pay for. Higher rating largely due to attentive, helpful domestic staff and stunning location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
