★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dining at this restaurant was easily one of the most memorable highlights of our 2 weeks in Tuscany in the spring of 2014! Excellent food, service and Tuscan ambiance. This trattoria is frequented by locals and is not in a very "touristy" area of Tuscany - although I'm not sure if any part of Tuscany may be considered "non-touristy". So, polish off your Italian phrasebook, and visit this lovely restaurant to try their one of a kind (truly) steak Florentine and their mouthwatering pasta dishes. Oh yeah, the house wine costs pennies, is really good, and there is plenty of. Salute!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an excellent lunch in this lovely restaurant in JUly 2016. I was tempted in ordering the 1kg bistecca fiorentina. The waiter assured me that a one kg steal was not too much because the meat was very good. He was right. I highly recommend it, even though I was not able to finish it.
The house wine was excellent.
Service was friendly. While we were there the other customers seemed local Italians having lunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best dinner we had in Italy after almost 2 weeks. Get the biscuits for dessert! The steak was grilled perfectly and was seasoned to perfection. The 2 beef stews were also amazing. Simple Tuscan cooking. Better than the 3 Michelin rated restuarants we ate at in Rome, Venice and Tuscany. Will think about this dinner for a long time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Set in a place quite unassuming from the street, but wholesomely decorated with rustic regional flair inside, this is a can't miss restaurant. The owner saw us to our table, and when giving our order we were given information on our entree, and a wine was recommended. All were delicious. Penne with minced beef, risotto with artichoke, and one of the absolute best steaks I've ever had. The steak is beautifully grilled with a brilliant crust that served to enhance and not for a moment overwhelm the taste, rare but warm core, rich and buttery throughout the cut, and is an absolute beast. The steak could easily serve 3 or 4 people, and is brought out to your table as soon as it's ready, sliced into large half-fist sized chunks and placed into a dish on your table.
The steak alone is reason enough to come here, but to those willing to ignore the feat that is the steak, there is much more. Between the kind service, beautiful locale, incredible food, and delicious wine, there's no reason to not stop by.
The desserts, even to someone who does not like desserts, was incredibly delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small restaurant in the middle of nowhere. We found it as recommendation of the camping close by and we where really surprised. Excellent food, of high quality and sophisticated and innovative dishes with classic Tuscany food. We recommend specially the home made Cantuccini. Also the people working on it is very friendly and cheerful.
