Merito a chi ne cura in modo volontario la manutenzione e la pulizia per permettere a chi vuole la visita dei resti affascinanti del borgo! Imposing castle, it stood to defend the remains of the medieval village of Albe, a general cleaning and restoration would be necessary for a greater enhancement. Attorno ad esso si trovano i ruderi del borgo medievale, e a poche decine di metri si ammirano le meravigliose rovine della città romana di Alba Fucens, fondata nel III secolo a.C. Literally wonderful! Castello Orsini is an enchanted castle surrounded by greenery, at the foot of the imposing Mount Velino. Around it are the ruins of the medieval village, and a few tens of meters away you can admire the wonderful ruins of the Roman city of Alba Fucens, founded in the third century BC.

Il Castello è visibile solo dall'estero, l'interno è ormai un groviglio di rovi. Purtroppo, un'antenna su una delle torri del castello contribuisce visibilmente alla non perfetta fruibilità dell'esperienza. S	Sergio T on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Non ho parole. Una cosa così bella e ricca di storia lasciata allo stato brado. Nessuna manutenzione. Era alta 1 metri e mezzo. Nel castello una foresta di erbacce. Unico posto libero la strada per la centralina delle antenne per i cellulari. Certo quello è necessario invece lasciare tutto libero per apprezzare il posto no eh?. Senza parole una negligenza del genere ed era fine maggio!!!!! I have no words. Something so beautiful and rich in history left in the wild. No maintenance. It was 1.5 meters high. S	STEVE BEST on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I resti del Castello Orsini sorgono sulle falde del Monte Velino, nel vecchio borgo medioevale di Albe Vecchia, una ricca area archeologica, posizionato a controllare la via Tiburtina Valeria, ricostruito dai conti d'Albe dopo essere distrutto nel 1268 da Carlo d'Angiò dopo la battaglia di Tagliacozzo; Ricostruito di nuovo dopo la conquista della contea di Albe, venne raso quasi completamente al suolo dal potente terremoto del 1915 e durante la seconda guerra mondiale i resti del castello ospitò il quartier generale tedesco dello schieramento lungo la linea Gustav. I resti del castello sono interamente visitabili con attenzione. Comunque il sito è veramente bello e di grande valore culturale. La amministrazione sta trascurando il potenziale turistico di questo luogo lasciando senza un minimo di manutenzione.
