★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Qjuel che rimane, abbastanza ben conservata, di una delle poche chiese romaniche sull'isola d'Elba. Situata sulle pendici del monte Perone a breve distanza della torre di avvistamento di San Giovanni. Volendo nelle immediate vicinanze c'è un'area attrezzata per picnic.
Qjuel which remains, quite well preserved, of one of the few Romanesque churches on the island of Elba. Located on the slopes of Mount Perone a short distance from the San Giovanni watchtower. If you want, there is a picnic area in the immediate vicinity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa risalente al medioevo, seconda metà del XII secolo, si trova sulla strada che da Sant'Ilario conduce a Monte Perone. La pieve è priva di copertura a causa del l'assalto del pirata ottomano Dragut, ma fino al 1837 veniva officiata grazie ad un riparo provvisorio, in seguito divenne un ricovero di capre. L'interno presenta un'unica navata rettangolare con abside semicircolare, mentre all'esterno i resti della chiesa sono circondati da mura difensive ora completamente immerse nel verde. Ancora abbastanza ben conservato il campanile a vela.
The church dating back to the Middle Ages, second half of the 12th century, is located on the road that leads from Sant'Ilario to Monte Perone. The parish church is devoid of cover due to the assault by the Ottoman pirate Dragut, but until 1837 it was officiated thanks to a temporary shelter, later it became a goat shelter. The interior has a single rectangular nave with a semicircular apse, while on the outside the remains of the church are surrounded by defensive walls now completely surrounded by greenery. The bell tower is still fairly well preserved.
