★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Impressive fortress to visit. Just don't expect anything more than that. No information, nothing but a modern art installation to visit inside. Cartographers room closed because of covid. (I feel rather because they didn't feel like opening it up)
Certainly worth the 4 euro's they used to charge. Now it's 7€, which I find too pricy; like most of Siracusa's tourist visits.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An amazing site and fantastic vistas but…once again why such a lack of maintenance and interest ? No real informations about the place and its history. You wander around but you don’t know which parts of history took place here. Such a shame…

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful castle overlooking the sea. Currently there is an exhibition by Alfredo Pirri, which is fun to walk through. Its a pity there is not a lot of information about the castle or its history, but overal its a nice experience for a morning or afternoon activity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very picturesque castle with an unexpected surprise - art installation made out of shattered mirrors on the floor.
Castle itself isn't big, it's more like an military fortress with a lighthouse on top of it.
No queue to ticket office, clean toilet on site and you can hide from the heat in here as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tickets are 7€ for adults. The castle is fairly open for walking around. The great room is well preserved and demonstrates great size and architecture. The cannon emplacements provide views of the ocean and coastline. Water closet was broken/closed when I visited.
