★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The castle is impressive, especially outside and these parts inside, which were preserved medieval. I think, every exhibition in such a place should be thematicly close to the building atmosphere. Now it is not so.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very lovely trip to Vogogna, a sleepy town with a Castello worth visiting. There is a geologically significant portion of the Ivrea zone of the Periadriatic seam that some may find interesting as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Smaller than I expected but inside there are 3 exhibitions. An interesting one about wolves and then the usual castle armour/weapons stuff, and finally some model soldiers that might interest small boys but almost certainly no one else. Good views from the tower. Don't miss the mini funicular lift from the upper terrace down into town. Only €3.50 to get in.
