★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Le origini del castello vengono fatte risalire al X secolo quando ebbe funzione di rifugio temporaneo a beneficio degli abitanti di Pogno. Nel XII secolo un feudatario locale avrebbe potenziato la struttura aggiungendo il portale - che ancora si può vedere - ed una bassa torre centrale che è stata invece demolita nell' 800.
Secondo altri tutta il castello risalirebbe invece al XII secolo e sarebbe stato voluto dai Conti di Biandrate a protezione dell'importante strada della Cremosina che univa i loro possedimenti.
Di questo notevole fortilizio "a recinto" (pochissimi esempi simili rimangono nella zona) oggi si può a mala pena vedere la struttura perimetrale composta da rozze muraglie in un contesto di orti privati abbastanza confusi.
 The origins of the castle date back to the tenth century when it served as a temporary refuge for the benefit of the inhabitants of Pogno. In the 12th century a local feudal lord would have strengthened the structure by adding the portal - which can still be seen - and a low central tower which was demolished in the 19th century.
According to others, the whole castle dates back to the 12th century and was wanted by the Counts of Biandrate to protect the important Cremosina road that connected their possessions.
Of this remarkable "enclosed" fortress (very few similar examples remain in the area) today one can hardly see the perimeter structure made up of rough walls in a context of rather confused private gardens.
