Le sue origini risalgono probabilmente al Milleduecento.
Divenne proprietà dei conti Palatini di Lomello, i nobili Gambarana, che lo hanno posseduto dal 1300.
Ospita in tre delle sue sale un museo di arte contemporanea, mentre il resto non si può visitare poiché è abitato dai proprietari.
 Great castle, scenographic with the background of the hills of Oltrepò Pavese.
Its origins probably date back to the thirteenth century.
It became the property of the Palatine Counts of Lomello, the Gambarana nobles, who owned it since 1300.
It houses in three of its rooms a museum of contemporary art, while the rest cannot be visited since it is inhabited by the owners.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Castello molto bello e ristrutturato in una splendida posizione panoramica. Peccato che essendo privato non è stato possibile visitarlo all'interno.
Very nice and renovated castle in a splendid panoramic position. Too bad that being private it was not possible to visit it inside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visto da lontano è notevole, fa scena, ma due stelle perché non è possibile visitarlo. Il posto è piccolissimo quindi c'è anche poco da passeggiare in giro. C'è una piccola terrazza dove si può parcheggiare e godere di un bel panorama (diciamo che è bello quasi ovunque in zona Oltrepò)
Seen from a distance it is remarkable, it makes a scene, but two stars because it is not possible to visit it. The place is very small so there is also little to walk around. There is a small terrace where you can park and enjoy a beautiful view (let's say it is beautiful almost everywhere in the Oltrepò area)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Al termine di un giro nella campagna da lontano si vede il castello,bello imponente e ben tenuto. Purtroppo non ho trovato il modo di visitarlo perché è privato. Si possono fare solo un po' di foto da sotto le mura. Peccato
At the end of a tour in the countryside from afar you can see the castle, beautiful imposing and well kept. Unfortunately I have not found a way to visit it because it is private. You can only take a few photos from under the walls. Sin

È possibile sostare nella piazza del municipio che lo fronteggia ma non inoltrarsi nel piccolo borgo che lo circonda.
The surrounding landscape is beautiful to see and admirable.
It is possible to stop in the town hall square that faces it but not to go into the small village that surrounds it.
