E	Enrico Ripamonti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il primo documento che ci parla del castello risale al 1151 quando apparteneva ai Conti di Biandrate e dava - probabilmente - rifugio anche agli abitanti del borgo avendo al suo interno dei magazzini per derrate alimentari. Passò poi al Comune di Novara e successivamente alla potente famiglia Caccia che lo ampliò aggiungendo il bel caseggiato con facciata in laterizi che si ammira salendo verso la chiesa. Il fortilizio sulla collina fu completamente ricostruito nel 1700 in forma di elegante residenza signorile. Purtroppo è oggi abbandonato e in rovina. Di proprietà privata non è visitabile ma visibile solo all'esterno. La piscina costruita poco lontano non fa parte del castello. The first document that tells us about the castle dates back to 1151 when it belonged to the Counts of Biandrate and gave - probably - shelter also to the inhabitants of the village having inside it warehouses for foodstuffs. It then passed to the Municipality of Novara and subsequently to the powerful Caccia family, who enlarged it adding the beautiful block with a brick façade that can be admired going up to the church. The fortress on the hill was completely rebuilt in the 1700s in the form of an elegant noble residence. Unfortunately it is today abandoned and in ruins. Privately owned it cannot be visited but only visible from the outside. The swimming pool built not far away is not part of the castle.

Già citato nella seconda metà del XIII Secolo, quando apparteneva ai Conti di Biandrate, fu poi possedimento della potente famiglia Caccia per lunghissimo tempo, fino alla morte dell'ultimo erede nel 1634. Nella seconda metà del Trecento, quando la furia delle armate di Galeazzo II Visconti si abbatté sul novarese, il villaggio di Cavagliano fu l'unico a salvarsi: tanta era la potenza dei Caccia ai tempi. Purtroppo oggi il castello, nonostante conservi alcune tracce dell'antico splendore, avrebbe bisogno di maggior manutenzione. It is one of the richest castles in the history of the Novara area.
