★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dovrei procurarmi una guida turistica perché non conosco nulla di Capua. Girando per caso, nel centro storico è possibile vedere alcune piazze. Questa struttura, sembra una chiesa, ma guardando sul web è un castello - detto "delle Pietre" - costruito dai Normanni durante la loro dominazione in Campania. Lo stile è simile al più famoso castello dei Normanni di Palermo, ma questo di Capua è un po' più essenziale e caratterizzato dall'avere una torre e sembra una costruzione incompleta, potrei sbagliarmi, probabilmente danneggiata dall'incuria e dalle intemperie. Costruzione in pietra, stile gotico, ma affascinante.
Ai lati si trova un piccolo giardinetto, con alcune statue, un paio di panchine e una piccola cappella votiva con la Madonna, forse di Lourdes.
Non è possibile visitarla, almeno quando ci sono passato il giorno 21 ottobre 2021.
Non ho potuto fare delle fotografie d'insieme non avendo un grandangolo, e comunque tale fotografia scattata con una reflex analogica 35mm, successivamente sviluppate e stampate su carta fotografica (ovviamente). Stampa successivamente fotografata da smartphone, per cui non rende giustizia al tutto.

I should get a tour guide as I don't know anything about Capua. Turning by chance, in the historic center it is possible to see some squares. This structure looks like a church, but looking on the web it is a castle - called "delle Pietre" - built by the Normans during their domination in Campania. The style is similar to the more famous Norman castle in Palermo, but this one in Capua is a little more essential and characterized by having a tower and it looks like an incomplete construction, I could be wrong, probably damaged by neglect and bad weather. Stone construction, Gothic style, but fascinating.
On the sides there is a small garden, with some statues, a couple of benches and a small votive chapel with the Madonna, perhaps from Lourdes.
It is not possible to visit it, at least when I went there on 21 October 2021.
I have not been able to take overall photographs not having a wide angle, and in any case this photograph taken with a 35mm analogue SLR, subsequently developed and printed on photographic paper (obviously). Print subsequently photographed by smartphone, so it does not do justice to the whole.
