Non sono rimasto deluso in nessuna delle due cene. Pochi piatti, ma buoni. La semplicità della tradizione si apprezza sempre. In Capua for work, I went here for dinner. The owner's passion and the cuisine prompted me to come back the next evening as well. I was not disappointed in either of the two dinners. Few dishes, but good. The simplicity of tradition is always appreciated.

Dopo avrei avuto bisogno di un chilo di pane per fare una festa come si deve al sughetto. Ho assaggiato anche i primi dei miei amici:pasta patate e provola buonissima. E, per la prima volta, la lardiata:è chi se lo aspettava che fosse così buona. Io non amo molto il lardo Simple venue. The dishes are as good as if your mother cooked them for you. I tried linguine allo scarpariello: exceptional. After that I would need a kilo of bread to have a proper party with the sauce. I also tasted my friends' first courses: pasta with potatoes and very good provola. And, for the first time, the lardiata: it's those who expected it to be so good. I don't like lard very much

Abbiamo ordinato 1 antipasto le cui portate calde(se così si possono chiamare) erano fredde. Dopo abbiamo ordinato solo 2 secondi, ma sono arriati a mezz'ora di distanza l'uno dall'altro. La qualità del cibo è appena sufficiente. Non lo consiglio assolutamente It is difficult to describe the squalor of this place and the incompetence of the managers. There were only 2 tables, including mine. We ordered 1 starter whose hot (if you can call them that) courses were cold. After we only ordered 2 seconds, but they are arriato within half an hour of each other. The quality of the food is just good enough. I absolutely do not recommend it
t	tony dec on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nel cuore di S.Maria Capua Vetere difronte al maestoso Castello sorge questa piccola osteria con all'interno un pozzo che ha una sua storia interessante e misteriosa.Il servizio è gestito dal proprietario Giuseppe una persona molto disponibile e comunicativa l'offerta gastronomica non è ampia ma è comunque per tutti i gusti e propone sia carne che pesce tutti rigorosamente elaborati nel rispetto della tradizione come ad esempio pasta e patate con la provola,ziti alla genovese, spaghetti alle vongole,il baccalà in varie versioni etc. La scelta della materia prima è di ottima qualità ed in linea con i prezzi applicati suggerisco e promuovo questo locale. La Locanda del Pozzo was one of them and I can honestly say: Online instinct CAN work – and it DID in this case! It is a very small place with a very hospitable upbeat owner, who will talk you through his actual mouthwatering menu. Actually THAT mouthwatering, that I wanted to order almost everything! Plus: you get some serious homemade wine here. If you never had the chance to taste homemade Italian wine, do it here! In the pictures: Mixed starters with mozzarella di buffala whatelse and aged cheese and that PROSCIUTTO!!, Pasta alla Genovese, Entrecote and my friend wringing out the last drop of wine. Plus you can contribute to (world) peace: throwing coins into the magic “pozzo” = well. The story goes, that a little girl expressed the wish for peace, threw a coin into the well and the “Grande Guerra” ended. Reserve your table!!! This place fills up quickly!
