Da amante dei vini e da sommelier appassionato, essendo in vacanza ad Orvieto , non ho esitato a visitare questo luogo immerso nella natura, visto con frequenza mi capita di visitare le aziende vitivinicole che più rappresentano il nostro territorio nazionale. La visita è costata 90 euro a persona, con una degustazione di 3 calici di vino e un breve giro nella alla cantina di affinamento degli stessi. Nonostante la signora Cristina sia stata impeccabile nell'accoglienza, ritengo che la visita sia stata più improntata alla vendita dei vini, che al racconto di una delle famiglie più importanti nella produzione di vino al mondo. Concludo ribadendo che il costo della visita sia stato eccessivo rispetto al servizio offerto. Castello della Sala is a place full of charm, linked to its history and to a family that has guarded it for many years. As a wine lover and a passionate sommelier, being on holiday in Orvieto, I did not hesitate to visit this place surrounded by nature, since I frequently visit the wineries that most represent our national territory. The visit cost 90 euros per person, with a tasting of 3 glasses of wine and a short tour in the cellar where they are aged. Although Mrs. Cristina was impeccable in her welcome, I believe that the visit was more focused on the sale of wines, than on the story of one of the most important families in the production of wine in the world. I conclude by reiterating that the cost of the visit was excessive compared to the service offered.

Yes, here they have had the time for a tasting and tour even though they were busy preparing for "Cantine Aperte 2016". For me the surprise: the Orvieto Classico "San Giovanni della Sala". Very fruity with a nice finish at a reasonable price.
