I resti dell'originaria costruzione, una volta esaurita la primitiva funzione difensiva, vennero inglobati in un edificio colonico, poi, nel '900, trasformati in residenza privata.
 The fort, mentioned for the first time in a document of 1037, belonged for a long time to the feudal family of the Manfredi, and passed alternately between the possessions of the Canossa, the Fogliani and the Frosini. The remains of the original building, once the primitive defensive function was exhausted, were incorporated into a colonial building, then, in the 1900s, transformed into a private residence.
