★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The pope's summer residence. Just a 40 min train ride from Termini. Beautiful village overviewing the crater lake Lago di Albano. From the station you can walk up along a path sided by big mansions to the historic old town with cute streets, shops and restaurants or down to the lake shore where you find restaurants and bars and you can take a dip in the lake that has incredibly clear water.
