Nei boschi si avverte questo cambiamento ed è all'interno del Bosco della Ficuzza, precisamente, all'interno del Castagneto, dove si può notare e toccare questo cambiamento. Cambiano i colori ed i viottoli alberati saranno ricoperti di foglie rosse cadenti e di ricci spinosi delle castagne. Frutto che comunemente viene chiamato "l'albero del pane", proprio perché dai suoi frutti si potevano preparare una grande varietà di pietanze. Il Bosco del Castagneto, si trova a Mezzojuso, paese che sorge ai piedi della pittoresca collina “Brigna”, estremo versante orientale del bosco della Ficuzza. Tale paese con questo frutto simbolo di gusto ne ha fatto l'emblema della sacra che negli anni ha raccolto sempre più partecipanti. Ve lo consiglio anche per una semplice passeggiata. The autumn season is one of the most beautiful of the whole year, in this period, nature drops waste to the ground to generate new life. This change is felt in the woods and it is inside the Bosco della Ficuzza, precisely, inside the Castagneto, where you can notice and touch this change. The colors change and the tree-lined paths will be covered with falling red leaves and thorny curls of chestnuts. Fruit that is commonly called "the bread tree", precisely because a great variety of dishes could be prepared from its fruits. The Bosco del Castagneto is located in Mezzojuso, a town located at the foot of the picturesque “Brigna” hill, the extreme eastern slope of the Ficuzza wood. This country with this fruit symbol of taste has made it the emblem of the sacred which over the years has gathered more and more participants. I also recommend it for a simple walk.
