Flavia and Francesco's wine is the best you can find in San Gimignano. If we add that they are nice and hospitable, the picture is complete.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cena tra amici alla Cappella Sant'Andrea. Flavia e Francesco ci accolgono con calore nella loro stupenda struttura, qualche convenevole e ci mettiamo a tavola. Antipasti della tradizione tutti realizzati con prodotti del territorio, crostini con il lardo, bruschetta con i pomodori dell'orto (buonissimi), affettati di livello e un assaggio di formaggi fatti da piccoli artigiani.
Non ho parole per descrivere la bontà del risotto di zucca gialla con crema di porri e fiori di zucca croccanti. Il secondo è stato un tripudio di sapori, un umido della tradizione, cotto a puntino con i giusti condimenti. Il tutto annaffiato dai loro vini, la vernaccia Clara Stella per iniziare per poi passare alla Rialto ben strutturata che ha accompagnato i formaggi deliziosamente. Il rosso Serreto 2006, san giovese e merlot era perfetto per il secondo.
Tutto questo è sicuramente ottimo, ma quello che lo ha reso indimenticabile è stato il calore dei padroni di casa che ci hanno accolti come se fossimo di famiglia. Grazie ancora!
Dinner with friends at the Sant'Andrea Chapel. Flavia and Francesco welcome us warmly in their wonderful structure, some pleasantries and we sit at the table. Traditional appetizers all made with local products, crostini with lard, bruschetta with tomatoes from the garden (very good), high-quality cold cuts and a taste of cheeses made by small artisans.
I have no words to describe the goodness of yellow squash risotto with cream of leeks and crispy courgette flowers. The second was a riot of flavors, a traditional stew, cooked to perfection with the right condiments. All washed down with their wines, Vernaccia Clara Stella to start and then move on to the well-structured Rialto that accompanied the cheeses deliciously. The 2006 red Serreto, san giovese and merlot was perfect for the latter.
All this is certainly excellent, but what made it unforgettable was the warmth of the hosts who welcomed us as if we were family. Thanks again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible. Spent an early afternoon at this family owned winery. The owners and pups met us at our van with smiles and an experience we would never forget. We toured their vineyard and then visited the cellar. We then went into the tasting room and enjoyed 3 white tastings and 1 red.
If you are looking into visiting, 100% would recommend. Flavia was the best host and tour guide. Having the owner, whose great grandfather began the winery, was such an incredible experience. The history, the organic and sustainable process, and wine made for the best afternoon. We cannot wait for our wine to be delivered to our doorstep in Florida.
