Guardare le barche dipinte, il legno piegato da mani che hanno fatto ottenere alla famiglia di artigiani il titolo di Maestri d'Ascia, ascoltarne la storia meravigliosa e dolorosa insieme, è stata emozione allo stato puro. Da vedere e da ascoltare. Sarebbe una bella meta per viaggi d'istruzione.
 Visiting this place is a journey through culture, history, customs, art and the human soul. Looking at the painted boats, at the hands folded wood that gave the artisan family the title of Masters of Ax, listening to their wonderful and painful story together, was pure emotion. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un pezzo di storia che meriterebbe ben altre fortune e considerazioni da parte degli enti locali. La visita è stata come passeggiare nelle vicende dei Malavoglia , fra storia, arte (si, proprio arte) e poesia.. Il racconto del Signor Salvatore ha suscitato emozioni e anche molta indignazione pensando a quante difficoltà assillano un cantiere storico di Aci Trezza ed un maestro d'ascia definito "tesoro umano vivente". Arte quella di Maestro d'ascia che la famiglia Rodolico si trasmette da padre a figlio fin dal 1908.
