Very nice small camping. No big crowds. Near the city center (big hike up though). Nice swimming pool (you will need a swimming cap, you can buy them in the camping shop). Sanitary is older but good (showers are great). Large camping spots. Bit pricey but worth it. We rented scooters to check out the towns in the neighbourhood. The desk at the camping can help you with that.

Beautiful campsite just outside Volterra. The walk into town is about 15-20 minutes and leads through beautiful medieval streets. The campsite is quite small and rustic - there’s a nice rustic flair (and free table-tennis). The washing-rooms are fairly old but clean. The manager is absolutely lovely and very helpful. Best part: there’s an insanely beautiful viewpoint just behind the camp.

Liked: Beautiful quiet campsite, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The pitches are in woodland and the pool is tucked away around the back. It’s also only 10-15 minutes amble into the town. Also the WiFi seems to work free all over the campsite. The toilets and showers are clean and basic but work fine. This is what camping should be. Disliked: Nothing, I think it’s perfect as it is.

Great location next to a cute midieval town with nice restaurants and musea. And the surrounding area holds more opportunities to admire the Toscany towns and cities. For an Italian campsite it is great with an organic layout and good shade from olive and chestnut trees. The swimming pool is nice and the staff very friendly. But, the quality of all the services is poor. Everything is out dated and the bare minimum with no toilet paper and no soap in the toilet building. Of course this can be found on more campsites. But the toilets are only cleaned once a day (in the morning), so by the afternoon a lot of them are already dirty. Toilet seats are broken, and flushing does not work for all of them. The showers have no place to hang stuff while keeping them dry. Some outlets on the campsite to get power to your pitch where not working.

A bit busy when we were there and had to stay at the parking for one night even though we called to book our place days before. The price is a bit high. We enjoyed the swimming, with cold refreshing water, great for warm days. No laundry possible here, but there is a laundry shop at the village if you need to clean your clothes, it is a bit expensive though. Volterra is close by, we could go by foot, and it is a nice place to visit.

The toilets and bathrooms should be renovated to be honest, pitches are all kind of in the shadows - but fresh pastry and the city were so great we didn't even care about these little things.

Liked: Lovely friendly site within easy walking distance to Volterra. Electric a bit dodgy and plenty of toilets and hot showers basic but clean. Friendly helpful staff. Disliked: Limited opportunity to explore further than Volterra as limited public transport.
