Tuttavia il periodo invernale mette in evidenza problemi di riscaldamento che pesano sulle cerimonie religiose che vi si svolgono. a	alisei. net on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La cattedrale, dedicata a Santa Maria Assunta, ha subito diversi interventi nel corso del tempo anche a seguito di terremoti. La facciata della basilica si presenta semplice e lineare apparentemente incompleta con monofore tamponate. L'impianto basilicale è a tre navate con transetto, abside e cappella del Santissimo Sacramento sulla navata di sinistra. Nelle due navate laterali sono presenti diversi altari molti dei quali riportano opere settecentesche dell'artista Gaetano Lapis. Piccola e raccolta la bella cappella del SS. Sacramento. L'altare è sovrastato da una grande raggiera in stucco dorato con nuvole e angeli argentati, con al centro la colomba, simbolo dello Spirito Santo con due opere laterali entrambe realizzati dal pittore cagliese Gaetano Lapis. Altra interessante opera la si trova nell'abside con il grande ornato marmoreo con raggiera dorata nel cui centro l'immagine della Madonna delle Grazie, frammento d'affresco di inizio '400. The cathedral, dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta, has undergone several interventions over time even after earthquakes. The altar is surmounted by a large golden stucco sunburst with clouds and silver angels, with the dove at the center, symbol of the Holy Spirit with two lateral works both made by the Cagliese painter Gaetano Lapis. Another interesting work is found in the apse with the large marble ornament with golden rays in the center of which is the image of the Madonna delle Grazie, a fragment of a fresco from the beginning of the fifteenth century.
M	M. F. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una sorpresa, è così ricca, sfarzosa ma mistica. Da fuori le mura non fanno presagire ciò che si trova all'interno per cui si rimane a bocca aperta. L'altare é stupendo.la cappella a sinistra dell'altare è stupefacente. Il Crocifisso sullo sfondo del cielo stellato trasmette serenità. Le tre grandi navate guidano lo sguardo verso l'altare. Situata al centro di Cagli merita una visita, già da sola trasmette la storia di questo piccolo ma importante paese. A surprise, it is so rich, sumptuous but mystical.
