D	Deni Marr on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa barroca pero ricostruita varie volte con tanti altri style. Infatti la torre è bizantina. Al interno cé anche una Madonna bizantina. Dietro il altare ci sono i resti momificati di San Teodoro (che se non sbaglio cè anche a Vasto, e quindi è un misterio). Quasi nessuno fa caso di questo fatto. Baroque church but rebuilt several times with many other styles. In fact the tower is Byzantine. Inside there is also a Byzantine Madonna. Behind the altar there are the memorialized remains of San Teodoro (which if I'm not mistaken is also in Vasto, and therefore is a mystery). Hardly anyone pays attention to this fact.

Restaurata di recente é non soltanto un luogo di culto ma un luogo storico. Particolarmente originali sono l'arcata superiore e il campanile. Molto bella anche l'ampia scalinata esterna. Se siete in zona ci consiglio di visitarla. One of the most beautiful monuments in Basilicata. Located in the historic center of Melfi and visible from many points of the city. Nelke near the castle. Recently restored it is not only a place of worship but a historical place. The upper arch and the bell tower are particularly original. The large external staircase is also very beautiful. If you are in the area, I recommend you visit it.

La chiesa stessa è stata molto rimaneggiata in epoca barocca e l'interno è appesantito da stucchi e altarini. The bell tower certainly stands out. The square in front of the church is also very beautiful. The church itself was heavily remodeled in the Baroque period and the interior is heavy with stuccoes and altars.

È dominato dall'imponente Castello di Melfi di epoca normanna, uno dei più belli del sud Italia. Visita guidata del centro storico accompagnati dalla guida locale. ?La Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta è il più importante monumento religioso di Melfi. Abbiamo potuto ammirare solo il prezioso Campanile in stile romanico normanno ?in quanto la facciata del Duomo in ristrutturazione non era visibile! (visitata il 7-12-2021) ? I	Ilario Bonomi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il campanile è il tratto più caratteristico della cattedrale, e risale al 1153, mentre purtroppo l'interno della cattedrale ha subito pesanti rimaneggiamenti barocchi (e attualmente si vedono poco anche quelli a causa dei restauri in corso). Davvero molto bella la Madonna col bambino bizantina sul transetto sinistro (ben poco valorizzata, purtroppo). The bell tower is the most characteristic feature of the cathedral, and dates back to 1153, while unfortunately the interior of the cathedral has undergone heavy Baroque alterations (and currently there are little to see even those due to the ongoing restorations). The Byzantine Madonna with child on the left transept is really very beautiful (unfortunately little appreciated).

No entanto dua torre do sino conserva parte desse passado. Monumento religioso mais importante da cidade, vale a visita por seu interior também bem adornado e rico arquitetonicamente...
