I was simply ignored for nothing, the cashier lady was upset when I wanted to pay, and they did not tell me that I should pay extra fee for the table but simply waved away. When I asked in Italian for the reason, the waiter turned less harsh, and asked for the extra fee. As the seat was bent (because of the slope of the street) and I cannot find a stable position, I quickly left the place but even that involved some nasty remarks. I was polite all the time but my Italian is not really good so I had the invisible "BEWARE, TOURIST" sign around me. I talked others who gave here a try, and many of them had the same experience. Unfortunately this is the only place near Scuderia Quirinale where you can take a refreshment after a visit in the museum. Such a shame.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last time I was in Rome, I drank a cappuccino here every morning, and after a few days, the woman behind the counter even started to recognize us. Very reasonably priced, and every customer was a local (we were visiting in January). Even though we are staying in a different area this time, I’m looking forward to stopping by on our trip next week, just for old time’s sake!
