★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In data 14.09.2019 alle ore 11,00 sono atterrata all'aeroporto di Brindisi e mi sono recata al punto Budget per il ritiro dell'auto precedentemente noleggiata e pagata, trovando una fila di ben 69 persone dinanzi a me, tutte con regolare prenotazione ed in attesa di espletare le procedure per il ritiro dell'auto. Il personale Budget al desk impiegava talmente tanto tempo a predisporre la modulistica per l'assegnazione dell'auto che, alla sottoscritta, è stata consegnata alle ore 16,30 ovvero dopo 5 ore e mezza di attesa. Alcuni turisti francesi, complice sicuramente la intervenuta rottura della macchina di distribuzione dei numeri, hanno dato in escandescenza costringendo il personale della Budged a chiamare la Polizia che, giunta in loco, ha chiaramente affermato che non fosse un problema di ordine pubblico ma un problema organizzativo della Budget. Questo il biglietto da visita dell'Italia agli occhi degli stranieri che vengono a fare le vacanze nel nostro meraviglioso Salento. Complimenti alla Budget.
On 09.14.2019 at 11.00 am I landed at Brindisi airport and went to the Budget point to collect the previously rented and paid car, finding a row of 69 people in front of me, all with regular reservations. and waiting to complete the procedures for collecting the car. The Budget staff at the desk took so much time to prepare the forms for the assignment of the car which, to the undersigned, was delivered at 16.30 or after 5 and a half hours of waiting. Some French tourists, thanks to the eventual break-up of the number distribution machine, have given an outburst, forcing Budged staff to call the Police who, having arrived on the spot, clearly stated that it was not a problem of public order but an organizational problem of the Budget. This is Italy's calling card for foreigners who come to spend their holidays in our wonderful Salento. Congratulations to the Budget.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Car pickup required 1.5 hour wait. There were only a couple customers in line before us, so why such a long wait? If this wait is typical they should put benches in for people to sit. Printed rental agreement was never provided, but was supposedly going to be emailed, but never received. I asked only one question during the entire visit; how much would it cost to extend the rental length. After asking four times, I was told that any additional days would be 100€. This is for the lowest class car, for which an entire week is under 140€. Doesn't make sense.
On site the one staff member was working quite hard and was polite, but clearly, whatever approach this office uses is broken.
"Alex" from budget responded to my review here on Google maps, but fails to provide any way to contact him. I've tried 4 phone numbers, none of which work. I tried accessing my reservation online using the budget car MVA code and my confirmation number, neither work. Alex, if you really want dissatisfied customers to be able to contact you, maybe you should provide some contact details. Saying on social media is not clear. Which account for which office? Genova, where I rented? Milan, which appears to manage this office? The Italy country office? Or budget international? Bravo at providing the appearance of customer support without actually doing anything to address customer needs.
