We have a yearly ticket for this place. It's beautiful oasis with animals in the heart of Villa Borgese. Lots of animals and even some spaces for kids to play.

When visiting Rome this should be on your to do list a beautiful park with a fabulous zoo lots of animals for all the family. Clean and friendly lots of knowledge to come home with. We are from Scotland and this puts Edinburgh zoo to shame. Good if you are a family or buy yourself. The white tiger is a must see. Reptile house aslo good full of creepy Crawleys. If I could put 100 start I would.

We’ve been coming to Italy for almost 30 years and this was my first visit to this zoo. Very nice and laid back. Easily stroll for 2-3 hours and just simply enjoy the wildlife along the way. For me. I enjoy the primates And the lions and tigers. Plus the setting within the Bhorgese gardens just make this the best escape

I loved it. I love animals and I had such a beautiful day there. You can't expect to see all types of animals. But it is very big and nice.

I went to a zoo fist time after my childhood and it was a disappointment for me. I paid 16 euros to get in in the adult category (fist time paying the full ticket although I’m a student). The open air part is like a joke. Most of the animals are just chilling in their houses and you cannot see them. If you are lucky to see them, at the best, you will see them from 20 meters- better to have a telescope. The aquarium part was relatively better because it is somehow guaranteed that you can see the animals from a close distance. In any case, it’s better to open a Netflix account, buy some snacks and watch some cool animal documentaries instead of going to a zoo as an adult. After this place, I think of similar things also for the museums.

My older daughters wanted a spa day, but my youngest was under 14. So what to do? Go to the Zoo. Honestly, my impression of the Zoo in Rome has to be affected by the fact that we visited in the middle of winter. We're from the NE USA, though so Italy in winter felt like May for us. Being winter and in the middle of COVID, there weren't many people around. However there were lots of animals. Usually at a Zoo, we struggle to see some of the animals, but here they were all out in force! My daughter rated it as the best part of our whole Italy vacation. However, one has to think that spending the day with Dad and without all those older siblings may have had something to do with it.

A beautiful green-area bio-park, with exotic animals that are well attended. Its history dates back in 1908. Over 1200 animals and over 250 different species. Impressive aviary, with large rare birds. In addition to the 17 hectare land site surfaces it covers, Rome BioPark has an interesting collection of plants as well while the architecture of the existing buildings has an impressive artwork to it. Not so much focused on the animals shows but on the classical viewing and animal conservation.
