Sono riuscito ad arrivare all'ingresso attraverso una mulattiera molto stretta e mal tenuta non c'è parcheggio, molto difficoltoso fare manovra per girare e tornare indietro. Abbazia chiusa e priva di indicazioni su possibilità visita.consiglio di andarci in bici o in moto dopo essersi informati al Comune di Narni se ci sono possibilità e in quali giorni di effettuare una visita Suggestive 10th century abbey, set in an enchanting setting. L’abbazia è custodita da un’unica persona e non vi sarà possibile visitarla a meno che non siate “ammanicati”! Purtroppo l'esito è stato negativo, ma la bellezza dell'Abbazia, anche dall'esterno, merita la visita. Consiglio di lasciare l'auto presso il ponte di Augusto e di incamminarsi lungo il percorso (anche ciclabile) ricavato dall'ex linea ferroviaria, in direzione dell'abbazia. Per gli amanti del trekking, dall'abbazia partono sentieri verso il bosco (non tutti segnalati! bisogna scaricare una mappa!) che si addentrano nella vegetazione sulla montagna, la aggirano per poi ridiscendere verso le Mole di Narni e Stifone. Percorso mediamente impegnativo, circa 18 km. Ideal destination for a tour that combines art, history, natural environment. Check the opening to visits. Mi sono ritrovata parecchio in difficoltà sulla stradina bianca e piena di buche e pozzanghere perchè aveva piovuto. Alcune erano così profonde che temevo di non riuscire più ad andare avanti. In alcuni punti poi c'era anche lo strapiombo. Veramente pericolosa. E poi, una volta arrivata là era chiusa! Difficile anche fare manovra per tornare indietro. Comunque bastava segnalarlo sul sito o all'imbocco del sentiero che era impraticabile! Forget it if you go by car and the weather is bad.
