β β β β β Walked there for lunch with two hungry children, both the hotel and the pizzeria google maps page said it was open. The rather rude owner just brushed us off saying that it opened at 20.00. When showing him the opening hours online he just shrugged.

β β β β β Wonderful Family Luncheon!
We came to Agira to meet descendants of my husband's grandmother's siblings. They arranged for a luncheon at Belvedere. The appetizers (antipasto?) were amazing - I counted 10 items. Next were 2 types of delicious pasta - one with red sauce and the other with pesto parmesan. I thought our translator was joking when he told us "meat & potatoes" next. Out came the lamb & potatoes. I don't eat lamb but my husband remarked that it was the best he has ever tasted. Of course the meal ended with the famous cassatelle. It was a memorable experience for our American family of 5.
