Bed on the Lake Como

Stayed here for 3 nights August 2018. Good points: Good communication with the host, using WhatsApp (due to no cost for us or them) and phone (although they admitted they didn't speak much English so WhatsApp was easier). They provided detailed instructions and pictures on how to access the flat. Security is good, main door to building is unlocked by calling a phone number. 2nd door into the flat is unlocked by a number keypad. Host allowed us to drop our luggage in to the flat before our check in time even though the flat had not been cleaned at this point(but I suppose this depends on the previous occupants and what time they leave the property) Flat was clean and tidy on arrival. Good kitchen including cooker, fridge, freezer, plates, cups, bowls, glasses, cutlery, basic cleaning products and cooking utensils. Bathroom is basic and clean. T.v. with variety of channels, if you change languages to English the voices change on some programs! Washing machine - we didn't use but may have had we stayed longer. Local supermarket (small shop with basics) only 10 minute walk away. Wardrobe and drawers useful if your staying a while. Location is fantastic, you can see the lake, and a few minutes walk from Como Lago train station. It is also good for access to resteraunts and other attractions BUT ... Bad points. Location is close to resteraunts and close to the town. Depending on what you want to do with your time this could be good, or noisy and therefore bad. We are not night-people but shutting the windows made a difference. Sofa bed. It is a good sofa bed (probably the best I've slept on) but is not the same as a real bed. No air conditioning. Not too bad as it wasn't too hot when we visited and we were fine with the fan provided but if it had been very hot it may not have been as nice. All these bad points are acceptable if you know them at booking and know what to expect on arrival. We were ok with the sofa bed but other people may not be. Overall we enjoyed Como and being in this flat was good and made our stay easy and cheaper due to being able to keep food and cook rather than eating out 3 times a day.

Thank you for nice time in Como! ☺️ This studio it’s good but for max 2 person. In Como it’s no free of charge parking places. It’s also difficult to find parking on the street. If you are lucky than you can pay daily (12 € ) in parking automat, not possible in aap.
