★ ★ ★ ★ ★ a return to bassetto is like a return to home. Third season in a row this year. I absolutely adore this place and fall more and more in love with every stay. The pool, the views, the rooms and the newly renovated bathrooms are amazing - But above ALL, the incredible manager JO!!! Jo makes this place feel like an absoulte home - we love you, thank you for making our stay so seamless and enjoyable. Huge shoutout for making us feel so safe, especially with everything going on in regards to covid - the house was constantly sanitised and regularly cleaned.
we’re excited to return again soon, make it four seasons in a row!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The guesthouse itself has an enchanting feel, which is very relaxing with sweet birdsongs and butterflies flying around sight. The staff was impressively helpful and kind, each going out of their way to help throughout my stay. A shoutout to Phil, for going above an beyond in making sure everyone had all their needs met and for making sure our stay was perfect. The surrounding wine country is stunning and you can take the friendly dogs on a walk up the trail behind the guesthouse. 110% would stay again. Thanks to everyone there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had lunch there as a part of a 70 person. Day tour of Tuscany. The building we ate in was from the late 1800s, they had a fire in the fireplace in a large room in the 2nd floor. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed my food and time there. Wonderful view of the countryside from what I could see during our brief visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Without a doubt the best hostel/guesthouse I've stay at in Europe. A beautiful old building in incredible scenery with lovely staff. This is the perfect place to get out of the cities and recover for a few days. I can't recommend it highly enough!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place I stayed in all of Italy. Gorgeous spot with the best staff you'll ever meet in your life. The place is just a little piece of paradise on heart. If you're a traveler and you're looking for a great place to meet people, it's there. Not too far from the train station.

The 13th century buildings are the perfect place to live the dolce vita, or, the sweet life and the ever-helpfull and friendly staff make bassetto more than just accomodation, you become a guest in their home.
Made me want to move to Italy 10/10.
