The waitress was very kind and the food good with a Present of the chef m at the beginning of the course .. there’s no topical food but nouvelle cuisine! If you are looking for a posh food it is for you! The price is a lit of bit high!

Unlike other reviews posted here, I found the service both professional and polite and while enjoying a meal here is not a bargain, it most certainly is not a tourist trap. Clearly some people don’t understand fine dining.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is easy to recognize that Osteria del Vicario offers more than a typical touristic restaurant. The menu was very refined and the view to the surroundings was beautiful. We had a great romantic dinner and enjoyed the delicious meals cooked with high quality products. Clearly not a budget place, but its absolutely worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely, traditional ancient building next to museum. Has panoramic views from a pretty courtyard and the windows of cloister dining room, where we had a good continental breakfast. Service excellent. Bedroom small but bed comfortable. Bathroom functional but cramped (clinging shower curtain!)Would have liked a kettle or minibar at least. No restaurants open in the fortified walled old town off season but plenty down in the town ( ten minute walk)
