Opening hours 06.30am-18pm/06.30am-20pm Masses Weekdays 07am/09am/11am/17pm Weekends 07am/8.30am/10am/11.30am/18pm

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful neoclassical period Basilica. You can see statues including San Francesco di Paola (Owner of the church) on the left.
Free to enter and you are immediately impressed by the huge open dome.
Notices are requesting visitors pay respect by maintaining silence.
Work began in 1809 as Gioacchino Murat who ordered demolish of the old convents. In 1817 Building began and entrusted the work to Swiss architect Pietro Bianchi. Work was completed in 1824. Inaugurated by Pope Gregory XVI, conferring to degree of Basilica.
Information is freely provided by the priests who only speak Italian.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This church is really lovely inside, obviously inspired by the Pantheon in Rome. From the outside it looks like it'll be much bigger, but it's actually very welcoming inside. Built by the Bourbons whose palace takes up the opposite side of Piazza del Plebiscito

Circular construction ... with two chapels on each side right and left...
The decoration is simple and very spacious
Be ready to be well dress not showing shoulders or you will have to cover your self... pashminas will be provide them for you.
