Beautiful church that is still used by the locals and not marred as a tourist hot spot. You can still light a real candle for petitions.

Another falling tower in Italy. When you want to visit the temple, it's not free and costs like €3 for one ticket.

Beautiful basilic but they charge for entry and you can't take picture even without flash, quite dissapointing.

Everything in Venice is amazing and to pray in the various churches, attend Mass and Concerts is a privilege. But you need to stay in Venice for a number of days and let the city and it's people Soak into your soul

Excellent monument of medieval culture and architecture although too few of original interiors left inside after reconstructions of XVI-XVII centuries. Visitors are allowed to take non commercial photo without flash light.

One of the most pleasant place in the very old Venice. I love it, no tourist there, as they do not know this old church and its garden square. I go there every time, as in my opinion it is possible to smell Venice. You have to walk. No water bus, no water taxi. A real experience

Gorgeous…the best walk from the vaporetto to the most impressive basilica with the arsenal of Venice across the canal…I just can’t put it in words. You’ll pass a restaurant called Nevodi…make your visit perfect and stop there to eat. Oh, and I took so many pictures inside the basilica.

If you get a chance do visit the Basilica of San Pietro di Castello. It's in a very quiet part of Venice. Inside are some unique works of art including the mosaic "All Saints" altarpiece by Arminio Zuccato from a cartoon by Tintoretto. You'll have to work hard to find this inside the basilica but well worth the effort. Second, Pietro Liberi's masterpiece, "The Plague of Serpents," painted in 1660. It's to the right of the presbytery and is a fascinating masterpiece.
