★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We decided spontaneous to eat here, because after taking a trip to Felignia we didn‘t felt like much „grandezza“.
Therefore why not stop in a rural area to taste a less touristic Italy?
We managed to order in half-english/italian and got our food. We were not disappointed, but instead of expected Pasta we got beef. So make sure you translate properly. ;)
Still it was no big issue to just order another menu without beef. Very friendly staff!
Only thing to improve is presentation of starters. No olio, no Balsamico, no pepper / salt felt strange in Italy and we had to ask for it, so we could enjoy our salad.
Maybe just a minor mistake after a long day. For sure an interesting experience outside touristic cities.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great local food. It's a very typical family run restaurant. I would recommend starting with the mixed cured meats and cheeses. I love also anything with wild boar hunted by the locals and the typical fiorentina cut stake or other local grilled meats that they bring with a hot stone slate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent place, worth the extra few kilometers drive. True local dishes, specialized for pork, wild boar and local beef (and more). If you want to share 15cm thick steak with your friends or family, this is the place!

This place has a number of local delicacies that you should try, local beef on the hot griddle pan is delicious. Wonderful staff set deep in the Italian countryside.
