Faticoso arrivarci in inverno perché bisogna lasciare la macchina alla chiesa di Capovalle e spararsi a piedi i 14 (mi pare...ma sicuro non di meno) tornanti e ci si impiega più o meno un'ora e mezza, freddo becco perché praticamente tutto in ombra! Ramponi vivamente raccomandati, e merenda al sacco perché non ci sono rifugi per appagare la faticaccia fatta! Lovely place! Tiring to get there in the winter because you have to leave the car at the church of Capovalle and shoot the 14 bends on foot (I think ... but sure no less) hairpin bends and it takes about an hour and a half, cold beak because practically everything in the shade! Strongly recommended crampons, and packed snack because there are no shelters to satisfy the hard work!

Sul posto alpeggio con possibilità di acquisto di latticini. Necessario il ticket per transitare e parcheggiare che si fa ad un erogatore automatico posto all'inizio della strada (cartelli segnaletici avvertono per tempo) Excellent starting point for hikes such as the hut 2000 hut (or descent to alpe corte and branchino) and twin lakes. On the mountain pasture with the possibility of buying dairy products. Consiglierei il divieto di parcheggio all'arrivo x dare la possibilità di fare manovra agevolmente Starting point for various walks. Per arrivare si supera Roncobello e appena oltre l'abitato si acquista il ticket giornaliero (2€) alla macchinetta a bordo strada. Nei weekend, soprattutto d'estate, consiglio di arrivare al parcheggio non oltre le 8.30. Starting point for various itineraries, including Twin Lakes (and tour of the 5 lakes), Tre Pizzi, Pietra Quadra, pass and lake Branchino. To get there, you pass Roncobello and just beyond the town you buy the day ticket (€ 2) at the machine on the side of the road. On weekends, especially in summer, I recommend arriving at the car park no later than 8.30.
R	Raul Cortinovis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nonostante sia contro i ticket in zone di montagna ( vedi 5€ Valbondione comune di disonesti per la quale ho boicottato la zona ) trovo 2€ accettabili. Qui ci vengo spesso durante l'anno a Roncobello, da Mezzeno quanti percorsi, quante vette ( Corte, Becco, Cabianca, Frati, Farno, Madonnino, Arera, Fop, Secco etc ) e collegamenti ad altri rifugi ( tipo Calvi, Longo ). Fino a qui tutto bene. Despite being against the tickets in mountain areas (see € 5 Valbondione common of dishonest people for which I boycotted the area) I find € 2 acceptable. Here I often come to Roncobello during the year, from Mezzeno how many routes, how many peaks (Corte, Becco, Cabianca, Frati, Farno, Madonnino, Arera, Fop, Secco etc) and connections to other refuges (such as Calvi, Longo). So far so good.
M	Marco Rossetti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dall'abitato di Roncobello si sale in auto alla frazione Capovalle e si prosegue fino alle termine della strada, presso le baite di Mezzeno, dove si parcheggia l'auto (1600 m). Si inizia quindi a guadagnare quota sul versante sinistro della valle (orografico destro) lungo il sentiero che porta alle prese dell'acquedotto. Si esce dal rado bosco a quota 1800 m circa e, sulla sinistra, si lascia il sentiero 217 che sale ai Tre Pizzi. Attraversando i pascoli si raggiungono la baita delle Foppe (1933 m) e la baita della Croce. Il sentiero riprende quindi a salire con decisione per guadagnare il ripido pendio che conduce al passo di Mezzeno (2142 m). Dal passo si può godere di un'ottima visuale sui Laghi Gemelli. Si prosegue in discesa fino a raggiungere il sentiero 216 che proviene dal rifugio Alpe Corte e le sponde del lago che si costeggia fino al rifugio dei Laghi Gemelli (1961 m). From the town of Roncobello, drive up to the Capovalle hamlet and continue to the end of the road, near the Mezzeno huts, where you can park your car (1600 m). You then begin to gain altitude on the left side of the valley (right orographic) along the path that leads to the aqueduct intakes. You leave the sparse wood at an altitude of about 1800 m and, on the left, leave the path 217 that climbs to the Tre Pizzi. Crossing the pastures you reach the Baita delle Foppe (1933 m) and the Baita della Croce. The path then starts to climb sharply to gain the steep slope that leads to the Mezzeno pass (2142 m). From the pass you can enjoy an excellent view of the Twin Lakes. Continue downhill until you reach the path 216 which comes from the Alpe Corte refuge and the shores of the lake which runs along it to the Laghi Gemelli refuge (1961 m).
