With a short menu of well thought out items, a wine list that will cater to many tastes... Gabriel provides an atmosphere that is both welcoming and shows a genuine love of food. Each dish is explained in a way that it becomes almost impossible to select... His flavours are comprised of winning combinations with a clear focus on the showcasing the quality of his ingredients. Our only complaint was that we found it on our last day! For anyone who is either living or visiting Florence, B.O.r.G.O is a must... AND, for those who are visiting Florence, B.O.r.G.O. will give you not only the best of genuine local produce, but also will bring you to a part of the city that takes you away from the craziness of tourists... and the dreaded Tourist Menus that proliferate...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food quality. Food taste great. Only a small note, could not taste some ingredients in some dishes which would have made them taste better. Host was jovial, friendly and attentive with service. Ambient, clean, small, cozy and warm (maybe a little more lighting is needed but that is my preference). Price is in the norm for the quality and service. Saw some reviews here complainig about the toilet that annoyed me. First of all, it is in a historical building, don't expect a Waldorf hotel bathroom from a small place. Second, it was very clean when I used it and still VERY CLEAN when I came out of it. If you find it dirty, is because other people do not have respect for others when they use the toilet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited B.O.r.G.O after a friend's recommendation. Amazing owner, great passion about food and wine. Menu is unique and has something for everyone from vegetarian to Seafood or meat. Food was delicious and fresh. Desserts were extremely delicious with fresh ingredients. Would strongly recommend this place for an intimate dinner or group of friends. Simple decor and a passionate staff made the experience enjoyable!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ OUTSTANDING!!!! Gabriele took such excellent care of us. Without a doubt the BEST dining experience we've had in Italy. I can't decide which was better the friendly welcoming service or the mouth watering food.
Gabriele went out of his way to make us feel like royalty. From the complimentary amuse-bouche and dessert wine to the tips about the area and education on our new favorite drink (the Hugo Spritz) it all made the experience exceptional.
The seasonal dishes were perfection. It was truly comfort food. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.
Please make a point to eat at B.O.r.G.O., you will not be disappointed.
My wife and I can't wait to come back!
