A	Andrea Locarno on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Siamo andati al bricco del cucú pensando di fare una degustazione di vini, ma abbiamo trovato molto di piú e tutto grazie alla mitica Irene e ai suoi genitori! Irene ci ha portati nella sua vigna e lí abbiamo iniziato a capire cosa vuol dire lavorare la terra e stare 365 giorni l'anno a contatto con la natura. Finita la visita guidata sembrava di essere amici di lungo corso. La vera magia, peró, è esplosa una volta seduti a tavola, tra vini favolosi, esperimenti enogastronomici e chiacchiere interessanti (fatevi raccontare la storia del Diavolisanti, mi raccomando) le ore sono volate. Il bricco del cucú è un luogo coi piedi per terra, molto concreto e reale ma che al contempo guarda lontano, oltre l'orizzonte. P.s. Ve l'ho già detto che i vini che producono sono fenomenali? Dal rosato al Dogliani superiore San Bernardo non c'è stato un calice che non valesse la pena di essere assaggiato una seconda volta. We went to the cuckoo pot thinking of doing a wine tasting, but we found much more and all thanks to the legendary Irene and her parents! Irene took us to her vineyard and there we began to understand what it means to work the land and stay 365 days a year in contact with nature. At the end of the guided tour it seemed to be long-time friends. The real magic, however, exploded once seated at the table, between fabulous wines, food and wine experiments and interesting chats (let me tell you the story of Diavolisanti, please) the hours have flown by. The pot of the cuckoo is a place down to earth, very concrete and real but at the same time looking far beyond the horizon. P.s. Did I mention that the wines they produce are phenomenal? From the rosé to the Dogliani Superiore San Bernardo there hasn't been a glass that wasn't worth tasting a second time.

Senza troppi convenevoli e fronzoli ma molto alla mano. Ovviamente mi sono portato via qualche bottiglia da rigustare con gli abbinamenti sugeriti. Prezzo più che ragionevole. It is my first winery and Irene's welcome and preparation made me spend three pleasant hours both in the vineyard and in the cellar and at the table with the tasting of the wines of their production ... Without too many pleasantries and frills but very easy-going . Obviously I took away a few bottles to taste with the suggested combinations. More than reasonable price.

Irene e il suo papà hanno cercato di dimostrarci che il dolcetto può essere un vino nobile e superiore, che le conoscenzedi un’antica famiglia di vignaioli sono più importanti delle tecniche di produzione industriale, che si può fare il vino unendo modernità e tradizione. E ci sono perfettamente riusciti! E sapete perché? Perché Irene e il suo papà, presentando i loro vini, hanno consumato l’ottimo pranzo preparato per noi, insieme a noi. Perché il vino, nella nostra cultura, è sempre convivialità. E così mangiando e bevendo ci hanno raccontato la loro vita e la storia di chi è venuto prima di loro a coltivare la vite e fare il vino. Poi certo, bevi che ti bevi, si è creata un’atmosfera alcolica che ha contribuito alla narrazione, ma noi eravamo andati lì proprio per questo. We went to Bricco del Cucù in February 2021. Irene and her dad tried to show us that Dolcetto can be a noble and superior wine, that the knowledge of an ancient family of winemakers is more important than industrial production techniques, that wine can be made by combining modernity and tradition. And they succeeded perfectly! And do you know why? Because Irene and her dad, presenting their wines, ate the excellent lunch prepared for us, together with us. Because wine, in our culture, is always conviviality. And so, eating and drinking, they told us about their life and the story of those who came before them to grow vines and make wine. Then of course, drink that you drink, an alcoholic atmosphere was created that contributed to the story, but we went there for this very reason.
