Terrify service. They rent in winter a car without winter wheels. The snow chains in the car where not the appropiate size for the wheels. There were not available chains in the near shops. So ....we rent a car and pay to have a car parked at the side of the road. There was no solution from avis bolzsno office.

The worst holiday and business rental experience ever - RUDE, IGNORANT, INCOMPETANT. Arrived from other side of the world, presented pre paid voucher for car and got refused our car as my credit card did not match my husbands driver license. We travel with debit cards and she would not accept our debit card. I keep my visa for emergencies, but am not the driver. Go figure, got asked could I not go home to get it - duoh - no - home is clearly on the other side of the world. Asked if I could ring someone to get my liscence (even though I am not driving) - well they are all asleep. Lucky we have a house sitter who I managed to ring, at considerable roaming cost, and who is savvy enough to photography my liscence at in the early hours of the morning. This was the 4th car rental of our holiday and no one else found this a surmountable problem. Waste of 2hrs, and ruin our day here. Not only is it rude and ignorant - it is unacceptable to treat other human beings like this - potentially leaving them stranded.

We rented a car from Budget and were surprised to find that they rented us a car that has been hit in two areas, in the front and the side. Damage was severe enough that passenger door was screeching when door was opened. We were in a hurry and they were noted on the documentation and we just accepted the car. Upon on return, AVIS representative Daniel Angelo pointed out we had a white mark on the bumper and claimed we must have hit a wall and they would have to charge us. I wiped it off with my hand and showed there was no damage. Daniel felt embarrassed and wanted to prove his right. By feeling around the bumper he found a minor scratch on an area where the bumper flared out creating a crease which was not visible to the naked eye. It could only be seen when we zoomed in with a camera and a flash. I pointed out that on the opposite side of the car there was a similar scratch on the same crease that also was not visible to the naked eye. When I pointed it out to Daniel, he's first response was "maybe you hit it there too". The second scratch was not visible to the naked eye and was not noted on the paperwork. When you rent a car you expect that a reputable company is going to be reasonable about minor scratches and customer should not have to inspect a car with a flash light and a camera before accepting it. The car had major damage before we accepted it and for them to charge us for a minor scratch that can't be seen with a naked eye is outrageous. This is similar to the scams you would encounter in third world countries from disreputable dealers, not something you would expect from a reputable brand. We refused to sign any papers and Daniel Angelo was going to charge our credit card for for $156 to add insult to injury he charged $234,06 and additional $78. We left the office expecting that it's a reputable company and Budget would resolve the issue. However the Budget rep we spoke to was disinterested and 6 weeks later there is still no resolution. We lost 5 hours of our precious vacation time in the office and that stress greatly impacted the remaining of our vacation. In addition it was very expensive. The most expensive we have paid on a rental car worldwide.

I felt I got robbed by this place. When I returned my car at 6:30 which is at the end of its office time, they told me they would like to check in the car the next day since the office was going to close. I was in a rush to another place and thought it's a normal process. So I did not push them to check in at the moment on August 30. And the next day when I was in another country, I received the final bill and it said I have to $223.43 because the checked-in time was the August 31, 9:21am. I had email the custom office with my flight schedule on august 31 and even tho the airport is in Innsbruck airport, which takes around 3 hours on the train not including the extra transfer time. This extra charge is so un-reasonable and emotionally hurting.

Under no circumstances should you ever book a car with this place. We arrived around 3:30 pm and went to the Avis desk. Nobody was there. We spent 15 minutes trying to find someone to help us and found nobody. We ended up asking a friendly Italian woman working with the car dealership below and she lead us to the man who works for Avis. He was doing paperwork in a dimly lit room clearly trying to go unnoticed. We asked him if we could pick up our car. He said they closed at 3:30 and he wouldn't help us. We mentioned we are only here for 3 days and needed it to get to our destination an hour away. He shrugged and said we could come back Monday since they are closed Sunday. We panicked because we had no idea how else to get to our destination he told us to take a train for the time being. We are leaving Tuesday and have already paid for the car, so obviously this was not helpful at all. Before we could say another word he ran for the elevator and left. The friendly Italian woman from earlier informed us the buses didn't run to the location we were staying at. She ended up helping us to find a taxi. If the managers of this company happen to be reading this, I would highly recommend you get rid of whoever was supposed to be working your desk Saturday, October 12th, and hire more people like the incredibly kind and capable woman working downstairs who actually care about the well-being of their customers. This trip is a really special one for us as it's our honeymoon, and this situation really soured it.

Service was okay, but there was a mistake charge related to refuel services (arond 40 euro). They claimed that they had to refuel the car after my return, when clearly I refilled the tank right before return. I contacted them and they never resolved it. Eventually I had to contact Avis corporate in the US and showed them the gas receipt right before returning the vehicle as evidence, which convinced them to refund me the wrong charge. I love Avis in general but this location is full of scammers! Be aware !!!

Did a reservation of a car and at the check in they told me that there was no car available for me since it was an overbooking situation. I was not refunded yet and I'm not receiving answers to the emails I sent. Just go to Europcar at the airport. Execellent service with no overbooking.
