E realizzare un pupo da me e poterlo portare a casa è davvero un emozione e un bellissimo ricordo. As a child I used to go to see the shows with the school, but living it when I grow up is something else, the amazement as a child returns to my eyes but with the awareness of art, of the skill and passion behind a show. And making a baby from me and being able to take it home is really a thrill and a beautiful memory.

Questa famiglia si tramanda questa bellissima attività di artigianato da ben cinque generazioni, ciò può farvi rendere l'idea di quanti bambini (e non solo) hanno fatto rimanere a bocca aperta, dando sfogo all'immaginazione grazie alle storie che si sono potute e si rappresentano, da loro stessi, tutt'oggi nel teatro dei pupi che si trova praticamente di fronte al laboratorio. Rappresentato personaggi di ogni genere, dall'impavido cavaliere a cavallo, alla fanciulla di corte. Vengono utilizzati svariati materiali più o meno nobili che variano dalla semplice carta pesta alle lamine di ottone e rame, ma ciò che da il vero valore ha tutto ciò sono i circa 45 giorni di lavoro che si impiegano per la creazione di un singolo pupo, tutto fatto interamente a mano, con attrezzi anch'essi creati ad hoc dagli stessi artigiani, in base alle loro esigenze di lavorazione. Vedendo il laboratorio dall'esterno già si rimane stupefatti di tale maestria e agli artigiani presenti sono davvero simpatici e cordiali, disposti a chiarirvi qualche vostra curiosità. The "Mastro puparo" is an art as old as it is fantastic and fascinating. A variety of more or less noble materials are used, ranging from simple papier-mâché to brass and copper foils, but what gives the true value is all about 45 days of work that are used to create a single baby, all made entirely by hand, with tools also created ad hoc by the artisans themselves, based on their processing needs. Seeing the laboratory from the outside, we are already amazed by this mastery and the artisans present are really nice and friendly, willing to clarify some of your curiosity.
