★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Salendo dal centro città sino al santuario si attraversa questo arco in pietra da cui si ha uno scorcio su una valle davvero suggestiva. La salita ne vale davvero la pena!
 Going up from the city center to the sanctuary, you cross this stone arch from which you have a glimpse of a truly suggestive valley. The climb is really worth it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il vicolo, con le sue travi in legno, resta ancora oggi uno dei più suggestivi dell'intero centro storico.
Le immagini presenti sotto l'arco sono dedicate alla fondazione dell'antica cittadina. Un trittico, dipinto sul legno dall'artista locale Luciano Tocci, illustra le origini "altomedioevali" del borgo: dalla primitiva "ecclesia", al possesso longobardo del duca Ildebrando di Spoleto, fino al duecentesco "Castrum Sancti Donati" dei conti d'Aquino.
A sovrastare le immagini, che raffigurano la costruzione del borgo, c'è l'immagine di San Donato d'Arezzo, il patrono del paese, Vescovo e Martire durante le prime persecuzioni cristiane (IV secolo). Il passaggio coperto è stato restaurato nel 1998.
The alley, with its wooden beams, still remains one of the most evocative of the entire historic center.
The images under the arch are dedicated to the foundation of the ancient town. A triptych, painted on wood by the local artist Luciano Tocci, illustrates the "early medieval" origins of the village: from the primitive "ecclesia", to the Lombard possession of Duke Ildebrando di Spoleto, up to the thirteenth-century "Castrum Sancti Donati" of the counts of Aquino .
To dominate the images, which depict the construction of the village, there is the image of San Donato d'Arezzo, the patron saint of the village, Bishop and Martyr during the first Christian persecutions (4th century). The covered walkway was restored in 1998.
