We had a great experience: since it was raining there was only my partner and I, so we enjoyed a private tour! The family kindly welcomed us indoors (normally it is outside), and we had a real "Italian family cooking experience". The food was very good, the farm superb, and every one extremely welcoming. I definitely recommend :)

Every time we visit Amalfi we visit Salvatore and his team (family members mainly) because it’s an experience that keeps on giving. I’m a local but it took me almost 40 years to visit a proper lemon grove. We think it’s just a field with Lemon trees right ? Well as I mentioned it took me a lifetime after seeing the lemon groves on the coast to finally visit one properly (they are privately owned by farmers so you are not welcome to just go and visit one randomly) and I did it with Salvatore that few years back came up with this innovative yet simple idea. He really makes the tour a full experience. If his dad is around try and have a chat with him, he is in his 80s now and spent whole his life on the grove. He has numerous stories to tell. A real entertainer. Finally stay with Salvatore’s family for a meal. Lemon is used as an ingredient in each dish from pasta to cheese and everything is cooked on the spot on site. You can see the magic happening in front of your eyes and enjoy local produce while seating on a wonderful terrace eating al fresco enjoying the views. Before leaving for a tour of the town (Salvatore will pick you up from the town centre with an electric cart ) make sure you visit the shop on the ground floor. Marco, Salvatore’s brother , runs the lab that produces limoncello spirit and other amazing drinks and desserts. If he is not busy ask to show how the limoncello is made !! It’s fascinating :-). Overall it’s a must do while in Amalfi and even if you are a local like me I bet you have never seen lemon trees so close up!

Interesting tour. I have learned so many new things. In the past it must have been a very difficult work. Even though the tour is mostly on concrete uphill road I recommend to wear good shoes. Limoncello was amazing as well.

We booked the lemon tour as an Airbnb experience, so it was more limited than the experience other reviewers had. Our experience did not include lunch or wine or the making of anything β€” although I wish it had. We did get to try some lemonade, lemon cake, and limoncello β€” and it was good. It was a walking tour, and Carmella did lots of talking. It was good information, but on the dry side. She was good about stopping at one point in an area that was popular for photos, and we got one there. Our tour was early in the season during mid-March, so the trees were still covered with netting. I imagine it’s more striking when it’s uncovered. It was nice to meet Salvatore and his father. It helped us appreciate the generations of their family business. Grandfather Salvatore was even hard at work while we were there, standing on a crate in order to work on the lemon trees. It does appear that there are more experience options listed on their website. I’d suggest something more interactive. Not sure I’d do the Classic Lemon Tour again. We did the Paper Museum experience too. It was interesting and interactive, but it’s not part of the experience to be able to take the paper you make with you (unless you’re staying in/near Amalfi and can come back the next day to get it after it dries). * NOTE: You are required to show a [digital] copy of your vax card in order to go into the limoncello lab for a tasting and for the family museum.

Had the most amazing time. What makes the experience most memorable is the owners who provide an instructive and honest commentary about their cultivations. The tour is mostly uphill with some use of stairs to go down to the cafe. Tour lasts approximately two hours with plenty of time for you take in the view and snap some pictures. All tasters were exquisite and you’ll get to enjoy their mouthwatering lemon cake.

Absolutely a must while in Amalfi. Started with a tour of the garden and walking under the lemon trees, all while learning about the history of farming. The family museum and the taste of lemon cake/lemoncello/lemonade where the icing of the experience. My husband and I chose to do experience cooking as well and learning more about the gold of the Amalfi coast. Truly felt like one of the family, and did not want the afternoon to end!! Food was out of the world, and the staff was so warm and welcoming. Would do this experience again in a heart beat.
