If you want old world elegance with class and style then Hotel Gardesana Torri del Benaco is the place for you. Breathtaking views friendly service and a wonderful chef. We were at a family wedding aperitivo and OMG it was so elegant and stunning. We will be back.

It's a bit outdated, the wallpaper is damaged, windows are not insulating any of the noise from outside (a problem when there every night is "live" music in front of the hotel). The furniture is old and makes the room darker. The bed is good, the bathroom is very small. Breakfast is okay, but nothing special, only the somewhat dry cakes gets shifted out. The staff is very friendly, and the location is good. The Lakeview that costs ekstra is close to a Scam, you only get a slightly better angle on to the lake, from the same harbor view the cheaper rooms have.

Just BLISS! We've just left and booked again for next year....our annual Italy break! Yes! ..we COULD go somewhere else on Lake Garda but this hotel has it ALL! FABULOUS staff! TREMENDOUS position! NOTHING not to like! Even though we arrived at 11.30 at night....Tino....the night porter turned out to collect our luggage from the hotel's car parking area! Beyond the call of duty! A SUPERSTAR! ALL the staff are SO pleasant and helpful.....it's a family run hotel... and, it shows!....attention to detail! NOT many children around in the hotel either....a plus for us! Torri del Benaco will never cease to be a special venue....and the Gardesana is the icing on the cake! Cannot wait to return!

This hotel was my favourite in Torri Del Benaco by far. The location is excellent and the hotel is beautiful inside and out from the comfortable seating outside to the beautiful rooms inside. They also have a wonderful restaurant upstairs on the balcony and the food , the view and the atmosphere were amazing. But in my view it's the wonderful staff that make this hotel so special. Nothing was to much trouble for them and each and everyone of them are friendly and helpful. I could not fault this hotel in anyway and will definitely return. Excellent in every way

Amazing don’t go anywhere else. An amazing magical setting right in a tiny harbour, with many restaurants, this place stands out because you’re ushered upstairs to the most magical romantic backdrop of pristine white table cloths decorated with the utmost detailed table setting, with gushing vine leaves cascading down masking a picturesque view of boats,water and in the distance, the mountains. The menu is delicately and enthusiastically put together and with the attentive staff we were guided through a wonderful evening of fish, and wine ending in deserts. They made us feel like we were creating a moment we would never forget.

We have been in the restaurant as a couple, sitting in the balcony on the foremost left, overlooking the port and with views on the castle. The location is a super highlight and this restaurant is an amazing insider. The restaurant made the reservation possible even though I had wrongfully booked for one day later (big thank you for that). The restaurant is located inside a historical buliding that today offers accomodation. You enter through the main door and talk to the receptionist who will accompany you to the restaurant's sitting area on the first floor. The food: we were unsure about ordering a menu and decided to go "a la carte", we ordered a few of the fish items contained in the menu, and I can fairly assume, that the menu is really, really good. We chose this place to eat because we wanted high quality fish, which is not easy to find in our home country. At the end of the night we were not dissappointed, the fish quality was excellent. The presentation of the food was delightful and very creative, the combination of flavors was always nice and nothing too exotic, they really do have a good kitchen. We can recommend everything on the menu, but we were blown away by the fish in the salt crust (this day it was brass) delicious. The dessert had to be a tiramisu, of course, which was presented in a super smart way. I recommend for creativity, the taste was really good. The wine: There were many available wines and the quality of the drinks was very nice, you can request help to decide. We ordered an older white to go with the fish and the starters. Really nice wines, this is Italy. The service: The maitre and the waiter were always ready to help, helping in German and in English language if necessary. The service was fast and competent, we were very pleased. There explanation of the dishes was professional and there was the right amount of small-talk. Super service, 5 stars. We said ciao with coffee and limoncello and the reception helped us to organize a return taxi, amazing service, your customer orientation is flawless :) We will definitly remember this beautiful place in Torri del Benaco.
