AgriMaccari - Agricampeggio Azienda Agricola

We have been camping across the Mediterranean for three months and have stayed on many campsites but our time on Agrimaccari is right on top of our holiday highlights. We found a perfect campsite which gets things right including the smallest details. But what makes this place really special is Guisi, Roberto with their family. We planned to stay for a few days but extended as long as we could and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and their incredible hospitality. The tent spaces are underneath olive and almond trees with a communal kitchen, a fridge and eating area. The sanitary facilities are spotless with very good showers. Our son loved the pool, learned to swim there and did thousands of jumps off the diving board. He loved exploring the farm and enjoyed playing with and feeding all the animals. There’s also free pick-your-own field with delicious onions, peppers and basil! Unlike many campsites, it was actually dark at night allowing us to see the sky including the Milky Way and the International Space Station. The location is perfect for exploring the southeast of Sicily with Syracuse only an one hour drive and Ragusa or Modica an easy day trip. The Vendicari natural reserve is stunning with turquoise waters and sandy beaches, only a 10 minute drive away. But our stay was special due to Giusi, Roberto and their children. And of course the wonderful Nonna. Their generosity is genuine and special. Treats emerge from their farm and kitchen and one night they created a cinema screen for us in their home so we could satisfy our son’s Star Wars appetite. Don’t miss joining Nonna in the kitchen, learn about Sicilian cooking and enjoy their delicious food on their family table with your fellow campers. We can only highly recommend a stay at Agrimaccari. If camping or in their bungalows, you are in a beautiful part of the island but also you have the chance to learn and experience Sicilian family life. We certainly will be back in the near future. We stayed at the agrocamping 3 nights, and it was a pleasure. Really nice concept, with comfortable roulotte, nice swimming pool, lovely animal and at first sight an amanzing family managing it. The employees/family are really nice person sharing their culture (way or leaving and food) and gave us good advices about the area. I recommend this place to people who want to share the Sicilian culture and are looking for a peaceful place to relaxe. Thank you for the stay?

An excellent place with all the facilities for camping. Large pitches with electricity and water. Good showers and a laundry machine. There is a pool and farm animals for the kids. The owners are among the nicest people we ever met. Helpful and kind. Trips to the beach and nearby town can be arranged. Recommended.

Wonderful place, relaxed, great for families. Mama Josefine‘s meals are amazing, and if you ask kindly, she may show you how she cooks. All the family is very helpful. The place also has an outdoor kitchen. Only 10 minutes away from the cosy Marzamemi.

We had a very bad experience at this camping. We called around 12 to reserve a spot for a tent for the same day. We arrived around 15 and were pointed to where we could pitch our tent. However, after we returned from the beach 3 hours later, they had moved our tent! Apparently a big group had made a reservation, so they moved our tent without saying anything (they also had our phone numbers but they didn’t call). Not only did they move our tent without our consent, they also threw some of the tent pins next to it on the ground. This is no way to treat other people’s property. This camping is managed in a very bad way, instead of anticipating on the reservations, they will move your stuff without consent. When we complained about it, one of the owners (I guess he was the brother of the owner) laughed about it and didn’t see the problem. We packed our tent and left. Worst camping experience ever. Luckily another camping close to this one could take us in at that time in the evening.

We can highly recommend this spot for camping! We enjoyed a few days on this beautiful agricampeggio with Giucy, family and friends. Got a cooking lessons and had lunch there. Perfect for young families with baby’s or kids with all the nice animals around. One of our places to be in Sicily. Thanks again for the nice time we had with you guys. We have travelled around the Medditerean and AgriMaccari is our favourite of all! Few days stopover in autumn turned into the remote work experience in winter - the weather in the area is very sunny and dry! Practically what stands out is the wifi connection, always available hot water, no down times with electricity (we struggled with all of these in the other Sicilian locations).The hosts share their knowledge about the local gems which allows to make best of your time here! And the food...and self made red wine and olive oil which we tried and bought extra, so YUMMY! The camping is already excellent, but the owners are constantly working on improvements! Much love to the one of the kind hosts, you really make a difference to everyone who visits <3 AGRI MAGIC!

Stayed for two nights and were not ready to leave. Everyone here is extremely kind and helpful! We’ve had an amazing home-cooked 5-course meal with fresh food from their garden and their own wine (which we bought because it was so good)! ? The spaces for the camper-van are cosy, equipped perfectly and you have the most amazing view of the sunset. Bathroom was excellent too. See: hot shower ??! Lots of animals (dogs, cats and one sheep called Monica) are running free on the property, no need to worry, they are nice! Recommend this place 1000%
