A	Andrea D'Adamo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un posto stupendo dove vi sembra di lasciare la vita terrena per andare in quella celeste. L'architettura romanica che vi lascerà a bocca aperta. Si trova vicino Macerata e potrete godere anche di uno splendido prato e tanti alberi intorno. Ve la consiglio in estate per goderne appieno. Vi lascio alcune foto che vi possono far capire tutto. A wonderful place where you seem to leave the earthly life to go to the celestial one. The Romanesque architecture that will leave you speechless. It is located near Macerata and you can also enjoy a beautiful lawn and many trees around. I recommend it in the summer to fully enjoy it. g	gabriella on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Abbiamo lasciato l'auto nel parcheggio antistante e ci troviamo davanti la bellissima basilica, la cui facciata è affiancata ai lati, da due torri circolari, con scalinata ,e portale scolpito in pietra. Si accede dal pian terreno per poi uscire dal piano superiore. All'interno si può leggere la storia dell'abbazia. We left the car in the parking lot in front and we find ourselves in front of the beautiful basilica, whose façade is flanked on the sides, by two circular towers, with a staircase, and a portal carved in stone. It is accessed from the ground floor and then exits from the upper floor. Inside you can read the history of the abbey.
T	The Shaman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Abbazia molto affascinante, legata a Carlo Magno e a Federico Barbarossa. La struttura è molto particolare e conservata in maniera a dir poco perfetta. Al piano superiore ci sono diversi pannelli informativi oltre ad interessanti reperti archeologici, come la copia della spada di Carlo Magno. Very fascinating abbey, linked to Charlemagne and Federico Barbarossa. The structure is very particular and preserved in a way that is nothing short of perfect. Upstairs there are several information panels as well as interesting archaeological finds, such as the copy of Charlemagne's sword.
s	santolo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L'abbazia di San Claudio è situata nella pianura antistante il paese di Corridonia (MC), è uno dei monumenti romanici più antichi e interessanti per la sua storia delle Marche per raggiungerla si percorre un viale di oltre 500 maestosi cipressi. L'abbazia è a pianta a croce greca, con tre abside semicircolari posteriori e due laterali, la facciata è stretta da due torri cilindriche che oltre a collegare le due chiese sovrapposte anche la funzione di veduta e difesa. Secondo alcune tesi questa sarebbe stata la sede di sepoltura di Carlo Magno. The Abbey of San Claudio is located in the plain in front of the town of Corridonia (MC), it is one of the oldest and most interesting Romanesque monuments due to its history in the Marche. The abbey has a Greek cross plan, with three rear and two lateral semicircular apse, the façade is narrowed by two cylindrical towers which in addition to connecting the two superimposed churches also function as a view and defense. According to some theses this was the burial site of Charlemagne.

L’edificio presenta una struttura molto particolare, caratterizzata da una pianta quadrata con croce greca inscritta e circondata su tutto il perimetro da absidi semicircolari. Quattro pilastri dividono lo spazio in nove campate; gli archi sono a tutto sesto e le volte a crociera. Due scale a chiocciola, interne alle torri imperiali, e una terza scala esterna collegano i due piani. La data di costruzione è ipotizzata tra il VI sec. e l’XI sec. Una delle curiosità di questo luogo è riferita dal prof. G. Carnevale, che la pone nell’VIII secolo e afferma, dal 1992, che sia la basilica di Santa Maria Mater Domini di Aquisgrana. Tra le sue prove, una lettera a Carlo Magno dell’allora Vescovo di Orleans che affermava di aver costruito a Germigny-des-Près una chiesa sul modello di quella della capitale carolingia: la pianta di quella francese è uguale a S. The church is a splendid example of Marche's Romanesque architecture, in an isolated position in the Chienti valley. The building has a very particular structure, characterized by a square plan with an inscribed Greek cross and surrounded on the entire perimeter by semicircular apses. Four pillars divide the space into nine bays; the arches are round and the cross vaults. Two spiral staircases, inside the imperial towers, and a third external staircase connect the two floors. The construction date is assumed to be between the sixth century. and the 11th century One of the curiosities of this place is reported by prof. G. Carnevale, who places it in the eighth century and has affirmed, since 1992, that it is the basilica of Santa Maria Mater Domini in Aachen. Ipotesi affascinanti, basate su ricerche storiche ed architettoniche, sicuramente da conoscere e approfondire. Al di là di questo, luogo di grande fascino.
