So apparently there aren’t any, but there’s a vegetarian pasta that they decided to make vegan (made a completely new sauce) just for her! I took the tagliatelle with sausage and mushrooms (in the pictures) as recommended by the super sweet waitress - it did not disappoint! Omg it was amazing and a complete must, went great with the tasty wine (don’t remember the name, but has blackberries in it). And all of this when the kitchen was supposed to be closed! The chef saw us red and hungry and made us the happiest costumers! Both pastas were very fairly priced (~13€), especially that the portions were huge. Wine is a bit expensive (~6€ a glass), but has a big selection and cover charge was 2.5€ pp. It was a completely boiling hot day and Zest was a safe haven of cold water, great wine, amazing food and gorgeous view, highly recommend! ??

We had the beef tartare with Gorgonzola cream sauce, which was mediocre at best, the tagliatelle with Tuscan sausage and truffle oil (they were the only highlight) and Tuscan rolled pasta with wild boar ragout, which was ok. All in all … meh
I	Iris on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nicely located restaurant in Siena with cozy seating space. The salad with mozzarella, prosciutto, and figs was amazing. The vegetarian rigatoni with broccoli and pea cream was very tasty and something different than the standard pastas you get.

The food was beautifully prepared and served and it was delicious. Coming from the States, Colorado, we tend to dine earlier than typical Italians and we were happy to be able to have an earlier meal here as well!

As we sat down she asked us for water right away and left us with the perfect amount of time to decide for our order! She also did a really professional wine-service + the wine tasted absolutely perfect. ? Another positive aspect was that even if there’s only one vegetarian dish, we could order a non-vegetarian dish without meat. All in all it was a really nice stay with a lot of laughs and smiles ☺️

My spaghetti carbonara was perfect- the sauce was creamy and rich, it is the best pasta I have had in Italy so far. and my boyfriend had gluten free ragu (not pictured) but we were so happy to have gluten free options! The meat and cheese board was also great- loved the honey that came with it. And the view can’t be beat. Would recommend!

Wine, antipasti, and primi piatti we’re out of this world. Would definitely go again. Make sure you’re served by Nicco and talk to Dario!
