Wir waren sehr spontan für eine Weinprobe/-hamsterkauf aufgrund einer Empfehlung in Bozen vor Ort und wurden herzlichst begrüsst. Wer dieses persönliche Erlebnis haben möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Ein Plus, dass die beiden Gastgeber sehr viel Wert auf Nachhaltigkeit legen. Ein Familienbetrieb mit toller Geschichte und einzigartigem Blick auf den Kalterer See. Wir hoffen auf ein baldiges Wiedersehen, denn sie bieten auch Unterkünfte an... DANKE Wow! What a loving and personal reception. You immediately feel comfortable and at home here. We were very spontaneous for a wine tasting / hamster purchase based on a recommendation in Bolzano and were warmly welcomed. If you want to have this personal experience, you've come to the right place. A plus that the two hosts attach great importance to sustainability. Es gibt nur vier Weine, Pinot Grigio “Alia“, Kalterersee “Delia”, Merlot “Antiope“ und Cabernet Riserva "Podalirius". Mir hat es vor allem der Cabernet angetan. Small winemaker, very personable, with joy in the vineyard and in wine production. Informative tasting. There are only four wines, Pinot Grigio “Alia”, Kalterersee “Delia”, Merlot “Antiope” and Cabernet Riserva “Podalirius”. I especially like the Cabernet.

Das Weingut liegt in ruhiger Lage etwas oberhalb des Kalterer Sees, der fußläufig rasch erreichbar ist. Wir bewohnten die größere der 2 sehr gut ausgestatteten Ferienwohnungen im Obergeschoss. Von der dazugehörigen großen Terrasse ein toller Blick über den Kalterer See. Rundherum um das Gebäude nur Weingärten. Ein Bäcker ist zu Fuß in 5 Minuten erreichbar. Für Ausflüge in die Umgebung ist das Weingut ein idealer Ausgangspunkt. Bei Armin Morandell, der uns auch viele wertvolle Tipps für Wanderungen gab, und seiner Anja haben wir uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Immer freundlich und gut gelaunt. Und alle Weine aus hauseigener Produktion haben ausgezeichnet geschmeckt. Unser Favorit: der Merlot. Für alles unseren herzlichen Dank. Einen Urlaub im Weingut Morandell können wir nur wärmstens empfehlen. In September 2020 we spent a wonderful week's holiday in South Tyrol at Armin Morandell's winery in the local area of St. Josef am See. The winery is located in a quiet location a little above Lake Kaltern, which can be reached quickly on foot. We lived in the larger of the 2 very well equipped apartments on the upper floor. From the large terrace that belongs to it, there is a great view of Lake Kaltern. All around the building only vineyards. A bakery can be reached on foot in 5 minutes. The winery is an ideal starting point for excursions in the area. With Armin Morandell, who also gave us lots of valuable tips for hikes, and his Anja we immediately felt very comfortable. Always friendly and in a good mood. And all wines from our own production tasted excellent. Our favorite: the Merlot. Thank you very much for everything. We can only warmly recommend a holiday at the Morandell winery.

Seine Ausführungen zum Weinanbau und seine Erklärungen im Weinberg waren sehr informativ. Es werde 4 Weine, benannt nach Schmetterlingen, hergestellt. Diese sind sehr gut. Es ist Handwerk und keine Massenproduktion. Wir kommen garantiert wieder. The wine tasting with Armin Morandell was brilliant. You can tell that wine is his passion. His remarks on viticulture and his explanations in the vineyard were very informative. 4 wines named after butterflies are produced. These are very good. It is handicraft and not mass production. We'll be back for sure.
