★ ★ ★ ★ ★ With the choice of restaurants in Barolo it is difficult to make up your mind which restaurant to go to. This place is in the main street leading up to the wine museum. We were looking for lunch. When I called the #1 restaurant on TripAdvisor and was told by them that they are only a wine bar- the lady on the phone on being asked recommended this as her top choice.
Well she was right. The food and the service are both great. Make sure you try the Risotto with wine. Brown colour, doesn't inspire too much confidence but is great to taste.
We chose 2 desserts- which weren't great but I think I would put that down to our choice more than anything else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great wine shop, excellent selection. Lots of wines by the glass to taste, excellent selection of tasting based on themes (such as age) delivered with great knowledge. Visited the last two times in Barolo. Ask to see the cellar of aged wines

Catered heavily for the Barolo market which you’d expect, though suffered slightly as Barolo is a pairing wine and there didn’t seem to be an option to try matching foods at the same time. I tend to prefer wine that stands up on its own rather than being reliant on an accompaniment, and so this wasn’t really for me.
Felt that the chap leading the tasting was very knowledgable and helpful, just the products on offer weren’t really to my taste.

Everyone was incredibly knowledgeable about what we were drinking, providing information ranging from the family histories of the wineries to the climate of a particular year and how it specifically effected the vineyards. I highly recommend going here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here two weeks ago during a quiet weekend in the town. Stopped in for a glass of wine or two hoping for perhaps a quick wine flight of the region before dinner. Ended up buying multiple wines and shipping them home.
Without hyperbole perhaps the best wine bar I've been to - exceptional regional wine selection and great staff who will guide you through what's on offer. Thanks guys for having us.
