★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a complete throwback to the Italy from the 80's in a positive way. The whole hotel maintained the decoration from the last decades but renewed the toilets and rooms which frankly is what matters. Fresh environment to sleep in considering it was still 35c in that week and even though we were put in a room facing the back we had this amazing view of the sunset over the trees. However we could also see an enormous amount of white beach plastic chairs that were just randomly disposed of in the back of the hotel, which seems to be a systemic problem in south Italy, garbage everywhere in the streets. A point to be made is also that the receptionist didn't even had a record of our booking(made through Booking.co) and couldn't seem less interested in actually get us to our room, however i must note that she was doing the job of 3 different people at the same time and looked like she ended up doing a 12h shift that day and was back the following day in the morning so maybe that explains it. Good old European countries and their perks..
Private passage to the beach was a plus and the night animation for families couldn't be funnier considering it was a group of youngsters doing a musical act.
Would definitely return even with the minor issues since we kind of already knew what to expect
