★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un esperienza bellissima, ho visto le sezioni delle celle dove i detenuti erano rinchiusi, hanno spiegato da quando è stata costruita ad ora che è visibile fino a fine giugno 2019. La villa non è stato possibile vederla perché è pericolante.
 A beautiful experience, I saw the sections of the cells where the inmates were locked up, they explained since it was built so far that it is visible until the end of June 2019. The villa could not be seen because it is unsafe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A due anni dalla totale dismissione dalla funzione di Ospedale psichiatrico Giudiziario e grazie alla concessione temporanea di pochi mesi stipulata dal comune di Montelupo con il Demanio proprietario del complesso, è stato possibile conoscere questo gioiello dell'architettura rinascimentale.
La villa, di origine cinquecentesca, fu la dimora prediletta da Cosimo III per i suoi soggiorni di svago e di caccia .Leopoldo II la destinò a casa di cura per malattie mentali; dal 1884 manicomio criminale e infine dagli anni Settanta del Novecento Ospedale Psichiatrico Giudiziario fino all'attuale stato di abbandono. Un’esperienza non descrivibile a parole.
Two years after being completely dismissed from the function of Judicial Psychiatric Hospital and thanks to the temporary concession of a few months stipulated by the municipality of Montelupo with the property owner of the complex, it was possible to discover this gem of Renaissance architecture.
The villa, of sixteenth-century origin, was the favorite home of Cosimo III for his leisure and hunting stays. Leopold II assigned it as a nursing home for mental illnesses; from 1884 a criminal mental hospital and finally from the Seventies of the twentieth century the Psychiatric Judicial Hospital up to the current state of abandonment. An experience that cannot be described in words.
